, and it’s mostly good news for the good guys. The only player to not practice Wednesday was reserve receiver Cody Core due to a back injury. There was some concern this injury, which he sustained in early August, could be enough to land him on injured reserve, but for now, he remains on the 53-man roster and unlikely to play this week or next Thursday against Baltimore. Backup defensive backs Clayton Fejedelem and Tony McRae were limited with what are believed to be minor injuries. Tyler Eifert showed up on the injury report but as a full participant with a back injury. It’s probably the same back issue Eifert is working his way back from and led to him being limited throughout training camp and the preseason. The big name on today’s report for Cincinnati was Cordy Glenn, who was limited as he’s still recovering from a shoulder injury suffered against Buffalo in Week 3 of the preseason. He’ll obviously need to get at least one full practice in to assure he plays Sunday. On the other side, the Colts have several key players iffy for Sunday
, the most notable of which being Anthony Castonzo. He’s still recovering from a hamstring injury suffered in the preseason and looks highly questionable for Week 1 after being limited on Wednesday. not having him would be a big loss for a weak Colts offensive line facing a strong Bengals front seven. It was actually reported earlier in the day that Castonzo did not practice:The official injury report does have Marlon Mack being a no-go Wednesday. He too is recovering from a hamstring injury and looks unlikely to play in Week 1. His injury came in Week 1 of the preseason, and he hasn’t practiced since then.Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts Wednesday Injury ReportBengals injuries piling; TE Tyler Kroft and DT Andrew Billings leave game Update: Kroft returned to the game and made his first catch in the fourth quarter with the Bengals trailing by seven.Bengals tight end Tyler Kroft hasn’t shown up on the box score yet today, but he was taken off the field before the Bengals crawled back to within a touchdown against the Panthers in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. He went to a knee following a running play. It was a strange circumstance as he wasn’t in a pile of players, but he was instead away from the play.Unfortunately Kroft isn’t the only injury to update you on. Defensive tackle Andrew Billings also was taken off the field with an injury and defensive end Carl Lawson also got hurt, but his forecast seems to be more positive. That is good news as the Bengals have struggled to get any pressure on Cam Newton even with their star young pass rushers. If the Bengals were to lose Lawson things could get very bad.Prior to Kroft’s injury, A.J. Green had been sidelined with a groin injury. He was originally ruled probable to return but was then downgraded to questionable and it doesn’t really seem like he’s going to return. We’ll keep this post updated as more details become available on the injured Bengals. The Bengals are currently down 28-21 in the third quarter.
